When using mini excavators, we often encounter various problems. Today, we will discuss the common causes of slow and weak operation.

1. Insufficient or deteriorated hydraulic oil leads to slow and weak operation. This is usually because the excavator hasn’t been maintained for a long time.
2. Low pilot pressure. If the pilot pump is damaged or the pilot filter is clogged, it will directly lead to insufficient pilot pressure. This causes the control circuit of the lever or foot valve to be unable to fully open the distribution valve stem, resulting in slow and weak operation.
3. Worn main relief valve. This is quite common. The main relief valve controls the main relief pressure of the entire machine. Once it is worn or stuck, all the machine’s operation will be affected.
4. Worn hydraulic pump plunger not only causes slow and weak operation but also leads to high hydraulic oil temperature. In some cases, copper dust impurities may be found when checking the return oil filter. In this situation, adjusting the hydraulic pump power will have no effect.
